Network Awards Handed Out
The Network handed out five awards at its annual conference on Saturday 13th August in Christchurch. Recipients included Peter de Lange as the "Individual making the greatest contribution to plant conservation" and Environment Bay of Plenty for its dune care programme. Oratia Native Plant Nurseries won an award for the Nursery contributing most to plant conservation. Lincoln High School won the schools award for their botanical rejuvenation of a nearby gravel pit. David Given was awarded a Lifetime achievement award for his outstanding committment to New Zealand indigenous plant conservation..
