Botanists on an outing with the Auckland Botanical Society in early November were pleased to find a thriving population of Hebe pubescens (Benth.) Cockayne et Allan subsp. pubescens growing on steep cliffs and slopes along the south eastern and southern end of Rotoroa Island.
