  1. Stilbocarpa polaris

  2. Does anyone know if Stilbocarpa Polaris (Macquarie Island cabbage) would be allowed to be harvested commercially? What about if it is found on private lands? If allowed for commercial use from private landowners, any suggestions on how to locate and contact such landowners? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated--I'm not from New Zealand. Thanks.

  3. Virtually all the populations of this plant are located in New Zealand's subantarctic Islands Nature Reserves and in Australia's Macquarie Island Nature Reserve where harvesting is prohibited. Outside of those areas occasional plants are grown for display purposes in botanic gardens but it is a difficult plant to grow outside of the subantarctic environment.
