    Hi Ian,

    I'm interested in this species too. It is popping up everywhere in Nelson, seems to be undergoing a population explosion!...do you have it in Christchurch too?

    I couldn't find much about the longevity of seeds. I suspect if the seed is reasonably hard coated (?) then it probably survives a reasonable length of time in the soil...
