  1. Mercury Bay weed identification

    The middle leaf, I'm fairly confident is Mercury bay weed.
    What is the plant to the right? It grows taller and broader, but in a different part of the garden.

    The other one looks a lot like Centella uniflora.

    Hi Mike,
    They both look like Dichondra (or Mercury Bay Weed), possibly D. brevifolia. It is a variable species, and there are small forms and much larger forms, that seem to occupy different spots (the larger ones commonly associated with shadier, less exposed conditions). Both can be seen in many places on Auckland's West Coast. The differences remain in cultivation.
