  1. Palm identification

  2. Kia ora koutou - long time reader, first time poster. I was looking at a grove of palms today, and while I know some were archontophoenix and some were rhopalostylis, the longer I looked, the less sure I became what was what.
Does anyone have any clearly defined vegetative characters by which to pull them apart? Generally I'm fairly comfortable doing so, but I would love a rule for those times where it's a bit wobbly.
    Thanks in advance!

  3. Hi Paul - come pay me a visit at Room 115-1040 - I can then show you - easier than writing it as we are on the same campus
