  2. Really?NZPCN say
    "LIFE CYCLE AND DISPERSAL
Minute seeds are wind dispersed (Thorsen et al., 2009)."
They are very heavy seed to be wind dispersed and why do Tui force their way into the seed capsules if not to devour the fruit?

  3. LOL - But Not Guilty! Geoff I will fix that for you.

  4. Oops, I'm guilty of that - the downside to running a website on volunteer labour!

  5. Fixed

  6. I've sent Geoff the relevant paper which clearly identifies it as frugivore dispersed and notes some similarity to bat dispersed species overseas (though this may be a pollinator adaption driving fruiting structure). Jesse has done a fantastic job individually and manually adding around 2,500 records of mine into the website and some errors are to be expected. I'm always happy to hear other views on the dispersal of native species and have had some great dialogues with Alan Mark and Colin Ogle on this.

  7. Thanks to you all for your responses, particularly Mike's papers on seed dispersal.
I look forward to assimilating the detail within but they fascinate at first glance.
    Cheers
    Geoff

  8. Yes, apologies once again and no blame lies with Mike et alia and the paper on seed dispersal. This was caused by me doing late night web content work. I hope there are no other errors out there, but please don't hesitate to point them out if you spot any.
