  2. Found on Herepai Peak in the Northern Tararuas at around 1100m,suspect its in the Asteraceae familyIts got me stumped, im fairly familiar with a lot of the Tararua flora but this....

  5. Pittosporum rigidum, var. majus of Allan (1961) whose type locality is Mt Holdsworth, Tararua Range. Although no one has formally dumped it into synonmy the late Tony Druce regarded it as part of the natural variation in P. ridigum and that view is followed by the nzpcn.
