  1. I would like the ID of this smooth trunk with dark bark.

    This tree is grown on the margin of native bush in a northern sunny, shelter area on Mou Waho Is in Lake Wanaka it was about 15 m high. I wonder if it is Hedycarya arborea (Pigeonwood).

    Looks like Pittosporum colensoi to me - Hedycarya doesn't go that far south (Banks Peninsula is southern limit)
