This nursery specimen is labeled Alectryon excelsum (sic), though at 1m high it already has 3-4 well-developed trunks, and the leaves are almost universally coarsely serrated.
Hi Dave, I think your diagnosis is correct. The large teeth are very obvious on the younger leaves and less so as the specimen grow taller.
