  1. Juvenile. Seedling ID

    Can anybody identify this seedling? It rings a visual bell but I can't find where it's ringing from in my head. Self set along with another the same age about 3 feet away. Grey Lynn suburban messy jungle. I can just wait and find out but it would be nice to know now.

    Durrr, Graeme. Korokia (cotoneaster?) just like the parent plant it's growing under? The one with all the red seeds on the ground maybe? Funny how just posting something can focus the mind. Anyway, I'm pretty sure now. Underside of leaves very dusty white. Everything matches.

    Nice photo - I wouldn't have picked that as korokia - must go and look under my bush ;-) ps we don't seem to have a seedling photo yet - would be a good addition to the website ;-)
