Distribution noted as northern south island only, however this is found nearly nation-wide? Is this intended as place of origin or greatest density/where the species is most common? May need re wording for clarity :)
Kunzea ericoides is a misunderstood name - if you look at the fact sheet for that species under the references you will see the revision of the New Zealand members of the complex published in 2014. Follow that link and you will get the paper free. Kunzea ericoides is endemic to the northern South Island - the widespread common species attributed to in past literature is Kunzea robusta. :-)
