  1. Kunzea ericoides

  2. Distribution noted as northern south island only, however this is found nearly nation-wide? Is this intended as place of origin or greatest density/where the species is most common? May need re wording for clarity :)

  3. Hi Chloe, You may not be aware that the species foramally known as Kunzea ericoides (kanuka) has been split into 8 different species. That means that all records of Kunzea ericoides from all over the country are not accurate as they are likely one of the new species as shown on the NZPCN website. If you type in Kunzea into the flora search it will show you all the new species, and most are obvious as to where they grow, but many are localised, for example in the Wellington region where I reside the most common species which used to be called K. ericoides is actually K. robusta. I hope this helps.
