Hi Katy, I think you are about right with your guessing of which plant is which from the inflorescence's you have shown. To get a look at the seed take a male (or which you think is) head pluck it from the stem and roll it in your fingers, this will release the seeds if they are present. "Seed c.1 x 0.4 mm, oblong-elliptical, golden-brown, surface reticulate, both ends apiculate, one end dark brown, the other, almost white." description from our species page. Good Luck!!
