  2. Genus from South Africa is know to have two naturalized species in New Zealand: G. linearis and G. rigens.
    Maybe there is a local expert who can tell them apart?

  3. This looks like G. linearis - but in New Zealand they hybridize - for a definite answer one needs to see specimens or ask a South African botanist. The most commonly seen wild one in New Zealand is G, rigens (or what we think is G. rigens)
