    Which of the species was primitive in genus Bougainvillea and where are the plants of all species in the world.

    This is not really the kind of question the NZPCN forum is designed to answer. Bougainvillea belongs to the Nyctaginaceae and I dont' knwo who is 'basal' in that family nor who is 'basal' in that genus. You may have to hunt through the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group papers - search under APG.
