    Hi
    Is this Totara at Otari bush reserve a mountain Totara / some alpine variant or just a one off like the golden Totara ?

    This is Podocarpus acutifolius which is mainly a higher altitude species.Having been to Otari many times I know this specimen well.

    I go to Otari every week and haven't ever noticed this as a Totara variant. I know where that spot is and will pay more attention next time
