Can anyone help me identify this grass. its popping up in clumps all over our property. im hoping it is a native.

any help and advice would be greatfully received.

Hi Gerard, looks like an exotic Cyperus. There are several species which can be a pain in lawns. Outside chance it is one of the Schoenus species

thanks so much for your reply. looking at it more closely i think/hope it is a Schoenus apogon. im going to let it grow a bit and review then.
