Hi, could someone please help me I.D. this little Pterostylis? it was flowering just last week under a mostly gorse canopy. There was a whole field of them no more than about 70mm high, basal leaves heart-shaped to ovate, flower bracts elliptic.

HI Sonya, I'm not the best at Orchids, but my guess would be Pterostylis trullifolia based on the rough surface to the basal leaf, though it could also be P. alobula (or something else!). The size of the leaf on the stem is a bit unusual for that species. See http://www.nzpcn.org.nz/flora_details.aspx?ID=1794. Over to the orchidophiles
Thanks Mike
This is Pterostylis alobula. Lacks the jug spout sinus and embossed rosette leaves typical of P. trullifolia.
