Brief Description
Bulbous plant, summer dormant. Flowers appearing just before dull olive-green leaves. Scape c. 50 cm high.
"Perianth scarlet; lobes 3-5-4 x 0.8 - 1 cm, oblong, strongly recurving. Filaments 4.5-5 cm long, scarlet, bunched at anthesis. Style similar to filaments but often slightly longer." W.R. Sykes, 5 April 2007
