Ascomata consist of small, saucer-shaped, flast or slightly convex apothecia, up to 1 mm diameter, black, and sessile. This specific fungus has not been described. The ascospores of Patellaria species are filiform-clavate, usually slightly curved, multi-septate, and hyaline.

Collected on one occasion in April 1988.
