Features

Evergreen shrub to about 2 m high. Leaves to about 5 x 2 cm, glabrous on both sides, shining above and pale green below. Leaf margins almost entire but with faint teeth and a small spike at the end. White flowers produced in small clusters, followed by red or orange-red globbose fruit to 6 mm wide.

Similar Taxa

Can easily be separated from P. angustifolia as it has larger leaves that are glabrous on the undersurface. Easily confused with P. crenulata, but P. crenatoserrata has broader leaves with teeth confined to the distal part of the leaf.
